Daybreak at International Duo Dance Festival in Seoul

To commemorate the 35th anniversary of both institutions, Kwai Chung Hospital and Hong Kong Dance Company collaborate in a work using the blueprint of To Perform – To Tell – Stories, a book on the subject of psychiatric rehabilitation. During the creative process, choreographer and dancers made multiple visits to patients, caregivers and patients’ families in order to learn about the difficulties, struggles, pressures and ambivalence they face. Our artists hope that these stories will inspire us to ponder what constitutes normal conditions of living and the value of life.
