Hong Kong Dance Company: “Rebirth and Transcendence” 23/24 Dance Season Exclusive Showcase
Hong Kong Dance Company will be bringing thematic site-specific dance performances inextricably bound up with our 23/24 Dance Season’s motif “Rebirth and Transcendence” at K11 MUSEA. This exclusive showcase sets to impress audience with an untrammeled spirit in dance, creating a unique experience of transcenDANCE. Throughout the Saturdays in July, featured segments of dance pieces will be presented alongside the Pop-up art corner in Gold Ball of K11 MUSEA, showcasing novel choreography that weavers with traditional and contemporary strokes.

The Pop-up Art Corner by Hong Kong Dance Company, interwoven by audiovisual shimmers, is a thematic and exclusive showcase inextricably bound up with our 23/24 Dance Season’s motif “Rebirth and Transcendence” at K11 MUSEA’s Gold Ball. This exclusive showcase sets to impress audience with an untrammeled spirit in dance, creating a unique experience of transcenDANCE. The corner also features a recent creative collaboration titled “ᴡʜᴇʀᴇ ᴡᴇ ʟᴀɴᴅ. ᴡʜᴇʀᴇ ᴡᴇ ᴅᴀɴᴄᴇ” between Hong Kong Dance Company and award-winning film director Chan Kin-long, reflecting on the very concept of dance that interweaves with traditional and contemporary strokes. Human beings are conscious not only of the external world around them but also of their innerselves. The more tribulation shakes our exteriors, the more we turn to our souls for boundless consciousness and contentment. Hong Kong Dance Company takes “Rebirth" and “Transcendence” as catchphrases for the 23/24 Dance Season, creating novel programmes with our innovative and audacious approach to explore the intricate and abstract beauty of dance, preparing audiences to journey through an ethereal set in the form of multimedia installation and exclusive showcases.
