Synopsis
Hong Kong Dance Company joins hands with international artists to nurture cultural dialogue and creative exploration, commissioning Xuannian Space to craft a new contemporary dance work. Choreographers Shi Xuan and Zhou Niannian, steeped in the traditions of both East and West, draw upon their rich cross-disciplinary journeys to shape a singular artistic vision. Their choreography delicately traces the threads that bind dance to humanity, society, and nature, illuminating the profound resonance between them.
The Silence We Carry invites audiences into the artistic philosophy and inner world of Wu Guanzhong, a towering figure of twentieth-century Chinese and global art. Here, dance and painting echo one another, while music and imagery collide and entwine. In this convergence of art forms, the rhythm and value of life emerge—subtle, powerful, and deeply human.
