Synopsis
The critically acclaimed premiere of A Dance of Celestial Rhythms has won multiple awards including “Outstanding Large Venue Production” and “Outstanding Ensemble Performance” at the 25ᵗʰ Hong Kong Dance Awards. The“Twenty-Four Solar Terms” (jieqi) was inscribed in 2016 on UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage.“Jie”represents humanity, while “qi”embodies nature. It is a structured temporal order deeply rooted in traditional Chinese philosophical thought. With the transitions of the solar terms, nature comes alive in glorious colours and fragrances. This spectacular performance, A Dance of Celestial Rhythms, will arouse the audience’s visuals and auditory senses.
We’ll begin our journey by immersing our senses, moving through the cycles of time and life, and ultimately returning to consciousness. Come and experience this inspirational dance journey with us. The critically acclaimed premiere of A Dance of Celestial Rhythms won multiple awards. It will return this year as the Opening Programme of the HKDance 2025/26 Dance Season.
