A Classic Reborn in the Winds,
Crafting World-Class Performing Arts and International Cultural Brands
HKDance collaborates again with Storm Riders original creator Ma Wing-shing and the creative team Don’t Believe In Style (DBIS). During the 2027/28 season, the Company reimagines this classic through arts tech, presenting Comic Arts Tech Dance Drama: Storm Clouds —Realm of Infinity. Audiences will experience the majestic, imaginative, heaven-shaking power of dragon roars.
The new work draws on the iconic story of Storm Riders, transforming the theatre into an interactive special effects space beyond imagination. Through stage tracking sensors and 3D projection mapping, the production breaks the stage’s conventional visual boundaries, seamlessly intertwining dance, martial arts, light-and-shadow trajectories, and sound in real time. The decisive battle between Bo Ging-wan and Lip Fung, accompanied by the ink tones, characters, and aura from the comic pages, transcends time and space, building a realm of martial arts
aesthetics where virtual reality and real life flow into one another.
