Tsai Po-Hung

Born in Taiwan, Tsai graduated from the Dance Department. His graduate advisor was Prof Goh Boon Ann. His early dance education was shaped by mentors including Chih Ting-shih, Chang Hsin-nan, and Chao Pei-chun. During his university studies, he performed in iconic works such as Sticks by Sang Jijia, Black Dreams by Lou Meng-han, and Forking Path 3.0 by Tsai Hui-chen, he played a lead role in The Floating Life by Zhang Xiao-xiong.
In 2017, he participated in Wang Yuan-li’s work Leave at the Cross-Strait University Student Dance Competition, earning Gold Awards for both group performance and choreography in the professional division. In 2018, he competed in the National College Martial Arts Cup and won first place in group hand forms, third in men's saber, and seventh in Northern Fist (Category 2). In 2024, he performed in The Tussock Dance Theater’s annual production ECLIPSE, choreographed by Wu Chien-wei, using it as his graduate thesis performance. The work received high praise from judges and audiences alike, including recognition from British dance critic David Mead. In 2025, he performed in ECLIPSE in the annual production of Adelaide College of the Arts in Australia, and joined the Hong Kong Dance Company that same year.
