Chung Ching (Enid Chung) is a seasoned dance educator and consultant. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Chinese Dance from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She was subsequently awarded a scholarship by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust to study Dance History and Theory at the Chinese National Academy of Arts in Beijing, where she obtained a Master of Arts degree. She later completed a Master of Arts in Cultural Studies at Lingnan University, Hong Kong. Her academic background integrates performance practice, historical theory, and cultural studies.
With four decades of teaching experience, Ms. Chung has taught at tertiary institutions including The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education (HKU SPACE). She has also served as an instructor for outreach programmes at the Hong Kong Dance Company, Hong Kong Ballet, and City Contemporary Dance Company. Furthermore, she holds multiple international professional teaching qualifications from prestigious institutions such as the Beijing Dance Academy and the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD).
Ms. Chung is frequently invited to serve as a competition adjudicator and guest speaker. Notably, she has been a speaker for dance culture lectures organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) for over a decade. She has also participated in performances and cultural exchanges across Europe, the Americas, and various parts of Asia.
Currently, Ms. Chung holds several public service positions, including Assessor for the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC), member of the Performing Arts Specialist Committee for LCSD, and Executive Committee Member of the Association of Hong Kong Dance Organizations. Through her work in teaching, research, and adjudication, she continues to contribute comprehensively to the professional development of local dance arts.
