Lo Sum-yu graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) with a Bachelor of Dance (Hons) degree, majoring in Chinese dance. During her studies, she was awarded the Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship. She also performed in, among others, Dunhuang Reflections, Yellow Earth Yellow River (excerpt), Drum, and A Grain of Memory by Passoverdance. Lo also participated in the Macao International Youth Dance Festival with the school in 2019. Lo is passionate about dance choreography. Her recent works include Xiang and The Silk Road, which debuted in Blue Sky Through My Eyes 2019.
Lo joined the Hong Kong Dance Company in 2022 as a contract dancer.
