Synopsis Hong Kong Dance Company proudly presents Princess Changping (《帝女花》) from 20 to 22 March of 2009 at the Grand Theatre of Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Local arts talents, awards winning Director Tang Shu-wing and Choreographer Xing Liang join hands with Hong Kong Dance Company to deconstruct, reshape and re-invent the Cantonese Opera Classics Princess Changping. With the music composed by Law Wing-fai, award winner of the Hong Kong Golden Film Award, the Cantonese Opera Classic will be transformed into an innovative contemporary dance theatre. Lau Siu-ming, experienced artist and dancer, will appear in the performance, together with the talented dancers from the Hong Kong Dance Company, to reveal the untouchable beauty of Princess Changping! Princess Changping and his husband Zhou Shixian will appear in three different times: the ancient, the ancient/ modern and the modern era to unfold the eight classic scenes of the Princess Changping……
